Join the UCLA Social Interactions and Health Research Study!

Individuals will receive a total of $280 for their participation. This is a year-long study on social interactions and long term health that is conducted by Dr. Janet Tomiyama in the Department of Psychology at UCLA. Due to the pandemic, all lab visits can be conducted remotely via Zoom. In-person visits will be made available once the UCLA campus opens. Participants will receive a gift Amazon e-card or deferred cash payment.

The purpose of this study is to examine how social interactions and personal characteristics are associated with changes in health behaviors, hormones, and health over a 12-month period. Eligible participants will be asked to come in for 4 lab visits to take surveys, provide a small hair sample (visit 1 and 4 only), and provide height/weight measurements. Each visit will take approximately 1 – 1.5 hours.

Interested individuals should complete the pre-screening questionnaire to determine their eligibility or email us directly at uclasocialhealthstudy@gmail.com for more information.

Thanks!
