Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MCM) 2021

Hello Math Majors!

We would like draw your attention to the MCM 2021 contest in mathematical modelling. The contest will take place on February 4-8, 2021.

For more information about the contest, please have a look at:  https://www.comap.com/undergraduate/contests/index.html.  In particular, take a look at past questions and results to see that all majors and levels are welcome to compete:  https://www.comap.com/undergraduate/contests/mcm/previous-contests.php. 

Ideally, students should have taken Math 42 or 142 or differential equations or an equivalent of such courses. 

If you want to register a team – consisting up to three UCLA students – please fill out the Google Survey https://forms.gle/HCUfpz8Nfo9vz84ZA by Tuesday, Jan. 19 by 12 PM PST so that the Mathematics Department can pay for your registration fee to the contest.
