Putnam 2021

Dear students,

Putnam is an annual mathematics competition for all undergraduate students at US universities. The UCLA Mathematics department offers two courses, Math 100 (open to all) and Math 101 (by invitation only) for Putnam preparation. You still have the opportunity to enroll in either Math 100 and Math 101.

Registration: Participants have to register directly with the Putnam organizing committee prior to the exam no later than Friday, November 26, 2021.  To register, go to https://artofproblemsolving.com/contests/putnam/student.

The Putnam mathematical competition takes place on the first Saturday in December. The examination consists of a morning session 8-11AM (08:00-11:00) and an afternoon session 1-4PM (13:00-16:00) with a 2 hour break in between.  For Putnam 2021, the exam will take place on Saturday, December 4, 2021 (2021-12-04) from 8-4PM (08:00-16:00) on campus (location TBD). See https://ww3.math.ucla.edu/putnam-competition/ for more information.

The top scorer at UCLA receives a $1,000 prize!
