Professor Andrew Marks has been named as an invited speaker for the International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) in St. Petersburg, Russia on July 6-22, 2022. His interests include descriptive set theory and its connection to computability theory, ergodic theory, and operator algebras.

The ICM is the most influential meeting in pure and applied mathematics as well as one of the world’s oldest scientific congresses. Traditionally, the invited lectures occupy the afternoon portion of the program and are organized into sections. Professor Marks will be giving an invited lecture for the Logic section.
