Dr. Rishi Sonthalia is a Hedrick Assistant Adjunct Professor at UCLA under Andrea Bertozzi,  Jacob Foster, and Guido Montufar. He has been awarded the Peter Smereka Award for the best Applied & Interdisciplinary Mathematics thesis of last year for his thesis “Metric and Representation, Learning”, advised by Anna Gilbert and Raj-Rao Nadakuditi. The University of Michigan will arrange for Rishi to present his work in the AIM seminar at a date to be determined.
