Are you a STEM major looking for an easy extracurricular that can distract you from the pandemic, and make you smarter!?!?  Join our new club, STEMNewsNexus, an online news blog made by STEM majors for people in STEM!!! This club is relatively low commitment,  super cool, and prestigious.

These are the following open positions with their descriptions

Executive Board Member (limited spots) -Attend 1 Zoom Meeting per month and participate in making decisions for the whole club.  Must also agree to be a signatory, and blogger.

Science News Blogger – write competitive summaries on life science and/or physical science news,(articles will be provided but you may find your own as well,).

Technology News Blogger- write competitive summaries for news within biotech and/or physical tech, (articles will be provided but you may find your own as well,).

Engineering News Blogger-write competitive articles for bioengineering or physical engineering News, (articles will be provided but you may find your own as well,).

Math News Blogger – write competitive summaries for news in mathematics, (articles will be provided but you may find your own as well,).

Arts/Web developer – create thumbnails for blogs/social media, and help augment the website.

Social media manager- ensure blog posts are promoted on all of our social platforms

***New tasks may be reasonably added such as, public speaking and/or video editing.

**competitive summaries may include but are not limited to, looking at the primary source, reading the supplements to primary source, looking at multiple secondary sources, linking to sources, finding relevant videos, etc…

***Each blogger is required to do at least 1 good summary per quarter.
