Chin, Ariana

I have been tutoring mathematics for grades K-12 since 2016, and university mathematics since 2019. I did my undergraduate study at UC Berkeley in pure mathematics and computer science, and in my time there, tutored for CS70 (discrete mathematics), algorithms, abstract algebra, multivariable calculus and real analysis.

At UCLA I have taught Math 33A (Linear Algebra), Math 61 (Discrete Structures), Math 170E (Probability), Math 131A (Real Analysis), and Math 184 (Combinatorics).

I am available to tutor for most lower division math courses, as well as several upper division courses, including 110, 111, 115, 121, 131, 170A/B/E, and 184. Besides these, I am available to teach any high school mathematics class.

I believe mathematics is something that everyone should have equal opportunity to experience, and I find it very rewarding to work with students and build mathematical confidence and mathematical maturity together! Feel free to contact me via email to inquire about anything you need.

I have been tutoring collegiate/high school (SAT, Algebra I/II, Precalculus, AP Calculus/Physics, Linear Algebra, GRE, etc…) mathematics for over five years, and I am always excited to work with new people! Many of my students who were struggling in lower-level courses have gone on to succeed in Honors and AP coursework. I am very invested in my student’s success, and I go the extra mile to make sure that they meet/exceed their goals. See some of my tutoring resources here (https://rb.gy/h7tc6).

Rui, Daniel

I have a long history and wide variety of tutoring and teaching experience, ranging from kids in a middle/high school level/setting (so subjects ranging from middle school algebra, to middle/high school math competitions, to AP Calculus and other college-preparatory standardized tests like the SAT/ACT), to 2 years of TAing both upper and lower division math classes here at UCLA as well as PIC classes.

Like the other tutors here, I can help students in any lower division (e.g. 1, 3, 31, 32, 33, 61, 70, etc.) and most upper division classes, but even if your class is more “niche”, I will be both willing and able to work with you to figure things out together.

I believe that no one should be turned away from mathematics for reasons of price, so please do not hesitate to reach out even if you are constrained financially — I am happy to negotiate a genuinely affordable price with you.
