UCLA’s McNair Research Scholars Programs is currently recruiting applicants for the program!

McNair is a two-year research-based intensive program established in 2003 that prepares underserved undergraduate students interested in pursuing a PhD to apply to and excel in the best graduate school programs in the country. We provide stipends, mentorship, conferences, travel opportunities (pre-COVID) and a cohort of amazing scholars.  Here is the link to our website.

Colleges Against Cancer at UCLA is currently recruiting new members for the 2020-2021 academic year. Our organization plans and puts on UCLA’s annual Relay For Life event every spring. Relay for Life is the signature annual fundraiser for the American Cancer Society (ACS) that brings our community together to remember loved ones we’ve lost to cancer, honor survivors, and raise money to fund cancer research and patient services.  Besides being full of laughter, music, fun, celebrations, Relay For Life is a chance to be involved in one of the largest philanthropic events on campus! Throughout the year we also hold cancer awareness and advocacy rallies on campus (and now, virtually) to educate our peers, visit oncology patients at the Ronald Reagan hospital, and host events and outreach on campus to encourage our campus community to join us in the fight against cancer.

If you are interested in learning more about our organization and Relay For Life at UCLA, check out our website relayatucla.org, our Instagram @uclarelay, or our Facebook page UCLA Colleges Against Cancer & Relay For Life. Our applications are now open and are due October 18th at 11:59pm PST. We are also hosting information sessions at 7pm PST on Tuesdays October 6th and October 13th on Zoom and the meeting ID will be posted on our website. We would love for anyone interested in and passionate about our cause to learn more and apply to join Colleges Against Cancer and help us fight for a world without cancer.

Thank you so much!

Best,

Anvitaa Anandkumar
