Sustainability Action Research

Sustainability Action Research is a student-run research program within the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability. During Winter and Spring Quarters, student teams work with UCLA stakeholders to tackle sustainability issues right here on campus. SAR is a great way to gain research and professional skills, work with amazing students and UCLA staff, and help make UCLA a more sustainable campus.

This year’s teams will cover the following areas:
  • Irrigation Team
  • UCLA Health Team
  • Sustainability Communications Team
  • Native Bees Team
  • Sustainability within Arts and Architecture Team
  • Sustainable Food Team
  • Energy Team

  • Our info session took place October 11; you can access the recording here: https://youtu.be/TJm-Rupk6zc.

You do not have to be an Environmental Science major or have prior experience to apply. All years and majors are welcome! Applications for team leader and member positions are now available and will be due on October 21 at 11:59 PM.
